An overview of the trips

In the map of Crete below you can see the starting points of our trips. Click on any and will display the name of the starting point with driving directions.

Just a note that the calmest area is in the south west and more specific the Sfakia trip. Crete is a very windy island especially during the summer months so if you are a new paddler or don’t have any experience at all try to book for that trip.

You can view all trip starting points on the interactive map of Crete above. Click on any marker to reveal the starting location along with driving directions.

A minimum of four participants is required to confirm a trip. Solo travelers or smaller groups are absolutely welcome to book — however, the trip will only run once the minimum is met. If I don’t have a minimum of 4 bookings I don’t run other trips due to long driving distance. We’ll keep you updated by email a few days before your selected date with confirmation. If the minimum participant count isn’t reached, we’ll do our best to propose an alternative trip.

Exception: Our Sfakia trip operates even with just two participants, as we maintain a dedicated kayak base there with staff near by.

Private trips are also available — in this case, you would need to cover the equivalent cost of four participants.

Before contacting us, we kindly ask that you review the frequently asked questions listed on each trip page — they cover a wide range of topics and often include the answers you’re looking for.

All full-day trips are €80 per person and sunset at €50.

Our kayak day trips are scheduled daily based on weather and current bookings. Simply select the trip you’re interested in, complete the booking form, and we’ll notify you by email if the trip is not confirmed or if an alternative is suggested.

Why the Sfakia Trip Is Special

The calmest and most sheltered paddling area in Crete is located in the southwest, specifically where we run our Sfakia trip. Crete is a windy island — especially during summer — so if you’re a beginner or have no previous kayaking experience, we strongly recommend choosing this trip. It also offers some of the island’s most stunning coastal landscapes.

From our Sfakia base, we offer two standard trip routes and, depending on bookings, a third route as well:

  1. One heading east along the coast
  2. One heading west
  3. A third, extended option westward, which includes a ferry transfer to the starting point

If you’re interested in multiple trips from this location, please contact us — it’s the easiest and most efficient way to experience different routes without having to move around the island. Logistics can be challenging due to the island’s size, and we only operate outside of Sfakia if we receive at least four confirmed bookings for a given trip.
