A confirmed booking of 4 participants, or 3 for the two-day Samaria trip, meets the minimum group requirement (weather permitting).
Important Notes on Summer Availability
July and August are extremely windy months in Crete.
Due to strong offshore (katabatic) winds, multi-day expeditions are available only for experienced paddlers apart from the Two days Samaria trip and the 4 days South Chania which both take place in areas sheltered from the northern winds.
To join during July–August on the other multi-day trips you must:
- Be confident paddling in force 5 winds
- Have strong rescue & bracing skills
- Be comfortable in challenging coastal conditions
