Six-Days Eastern Crete
Suitable for very experienced paddlers only. This is our most advanced expedition.
Excitement is guaranteed on this sea kayak expedition!
Strong winds are common, and you must be very comfortable paddling in at least force 5 winds.
You should possess skills close to the British Canoeing 5-star level.
No certification is required, but your skills must meet this standard.
Overview
Part of the route is exposed to strong katabatic winds and requires serious attention. This is where our experience ensures a safe paddle along a stunning coastline.
We’ll paddle near the Asterousia Mountains (highest peak 1,243m) and Mount Dikti (2,148m), with many remote beaches along the way. One of the longest stretches without a landing option is about 15 km.
Paddlers with 4-star skills will enjoy the challenge, and it’s an excellent test for those aiming for their 5-star qualification.
Some campsites have little to no light pollution—ideal for night photography. If that interests you, don’t forget your tripod!
