4 Days in South Chania – By Svein Tore

This trip report was written by Svein Tore, who joined Enjoy-Crete for four unforgettable days along the spectacular south coast of Chania.
The coastline from Sfakia → Loutro → Marmara → Agia Roumeli is famous for its dramatic cliffs, endless blue water, and remote beaches accessible only by sea.

Below is Svein’s experience, shared in his own words.

“I had four fantastic days of paddling with Enjoy-Crete."

The scenery was breathtaking — steep cliffs rising straight from the water, caves to explore, beaches with turquoise water, and a coastline that feels almost untouched.

Stelios was an excellent guide — calm, knowledgeable, and very experienced.
He always chose routes that were perfect for the group and always kept safety first.
We paddled west towards Glyka Nera, Loutro, and further on to Marmara.
Stopped for swimming, relaxed lunches, and photos.
The water clarity is unbelievable — some of the clearest I’ve seen anywhere.

I will definitely return to Crete.
This is one of the most beautiful kayaking destinations I have experienced.
