Terms & Conditions

By participating in any of our courses or activities, you confirm that you are physically fit for the activity you have chosen.
If, for any reason including fitness, minor injury, or personal choice (where we are not responsible), you are unable to continue and choose to cancel or withdraw, our standard cancellation policy applies.

Outdoor activities inherently involve risks beyond our control.
By taking part, you acknowledge these risks and accept personal responsibility for your actions and awareness of the surrounding environment.

Booking Confirmation

Payment can be made in cash, by credit card through a secure Stripe payment link, or by bank deposit for multi-day trips.

After submitting the form, you will receive an email within 24–48 hours with confirmation details.
Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.

For daily events, if you choose to pay by credit card, the full amount is paid online through our secure payment link two days before the trip, when we confirm it with the weather forecast. Card payment is not possible on site, and the booking is not confirmed until the online payment is completed.

For sea kayak day trips, final confirmation is made two days before the trip when the weather forecast becomes accurate.
All clients must reconfirm two days before departure:

• WhatsApp or Viber available (same number), between 8:00–10:00 PM (Greek time)

Please inform us where you will be staying the night before departure, especially if transportation is required.

Cancellation & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit (usually 20%) for a day trip or a multi-day trip is not refunded if you cancel, however early you cancel.
• Full payments are non-refundable. Once the full amount is paid, there is no refund if you cancel or do not show up.
• You receive a full refund of everything you have paid only if Enjoy-Crete cancels the trip — because of bad weather, or because the minimum number of participants is not reached.

When the weather is unsafe, we may also:

• Delay the start (weather permitting)
• Offer a shorter or alternative trip, or another date

We travel to each trip’s starting point, so if you cannot make it, please let us know as early as possible.

Participant Minimums

For sea kayak trips, a minimum of 4 participants is required
except the Sfakia trip and the two-day Samaria trip, which requires 3 participants. Any other trip-specific minimum is stated on its own page.

Our guided sea kayaking trips normally have a maximum of 12 participants. Groups of 13–20 can be accommodated by prior arrangement, with a booking made at least one week in advance, so we have time to transfer additional tandem kayaks from our warehouse. Please contact us before booking a larger group. Coaching courses retain their own published group limits, and the yoga and sea kayaking holiday has a maximum of 16 participants.

If the minimum is not met:

• We will offer alternative trips
• Or cancel the trip and give a full refund

For sea kayak expeditions, when participants cancel at the last minute:

• We may help arrange accommodation
• Offer day trips at reduced rates
• Or proceed with the trip at a higher cost (to cover missing participants)
• If none of these is possible, we cancel the trip and give the remaining participants a full refund

Participants who cancel at the last minute or do not show up are not refunded.

Once a trip or rental has begun:

No refunds for:

• Days lost due to weather
• Early returns

This applies to rock climbing equipment as well.

Kayak Rental Terms

To rent a sea kayak, you must be able to perform a reliable Eskimo roll, or hold a British Canoeing Sea Kayak Leader certificate (formerly 4) or equivalent experience.
For a single-day rental by two or more paddlers, a roll is not required if you are proficient in assisted rescues.
If you do not meet this, please join a guided trip instead.

Once your rental begins, no refunds for:

• Weather interruptions
• Early returns

You are fully responsible for all equipment.

Damage or Loss

• Missing/damaged parts or hull require full reimbursement
• Shipping kayaks to Crete: typically €400 per kayak
• Lost kayak: full replacement + shipping
• Polyethylene kayaks cannot be reliably repaired in Crete’s heat → avoid dragging on rocks
• Composite gel coat damage: €50/hour repair minimum 1 hour

Major damage billed accordingly. Most composite kayaks can be repaired.
